What is Trusted Enterprise?

Trusted Enterprise is a certification for Indian businesses, created and run by Brydgework Consultants. It recognises enterprises that meet the Trusted Enterprise Standard: six pillars that describe how a trustworthy business deals with its clients, suppliers, lenders and people.

Every new partnership starts with the same questions. Is this business properly registered? Will it pay on time? Will it honour the contract? Will it keep our information safe? Large companies answer them with a famous name. Most small and mid-sized businesses cannot, so every buyer, supplier and lender runs its own checks from scratch, and good businesses lose time and orders proving what should be easy to see.

We see this every day in our work with India’s MSMEs. Trusted Enterprise puts those questions in one place. A business answers them on the record, Brydgework reviews the answers, and the result is a certificate and badge that anyone can verify on brydgework.com, at any time.

The Trusted Enterprise Standard

Six pillars of a business you can rely on

The standard is published in full, so you know exactly what you are signing up to. Nineteen statements describe practices any counterparty would want to rely on. Critical statements must be met; the rest are scored, and 60% overall is needed.

  1. Legal standing

    A counterparty first needs to know the business is real, registered and in good standing.

    • The business holds an active GST registration in its own legal name.Critical
    • Neither the business nor its promoters face pending insolvency, winding-up or fraud proceedings.Critical
    • GST, income tax and, where applicable, ROC returns for the last twelve months were filed on time.
    • Every licence and registration the business's activities require is current.

  2. Fair payment

    Paying on time is the clearest signal of how a business will treat its partners.

    • There are no unresolved legal claims against the business for unpaid dues.Critical
    • Micro and small suppliers are paid within 45 days, as the MSMED Act requires.
    • Invoices are raised promptly and accurately, with GST correctly charged and shown.

  3. Contract integrity

    Written terms protect both sides and make disagreements easy to settle.

    • Complaints are recorded and answered within a stated time.

  4. Data stewardship

    Partners share information on the understanding that it will be kept safe.

    • Access to business systems is limited by role and removed when people leave.
    • Client information is never shared with third parties without the client's permission.

  5. People and workplace

    How a business treats its people predicts how reliably it will deliver.

    • Every employee is paid at least the applicable minimum wage, on time, every month.Critical
    • Statutory benefits such as PF, ESI and gratuity are provided wherever the law requires them.
    • There is a written anti-harassment policy, and an Internal Committee where the POSH Act requires one.

  6. Ethical conduct

    Trust rests on knowing a partner will not cut corners when no one is watching.

Trusted Enterprise is a business certification from Brydgework Consultants for Indian enterprises. It shows that a business meets the Trusted Enterprise Standard: six pillars covering legal standing, fair payment, contract integrity, data stewardship, people and workplace, and ethical conduct. Certified businesses receive a certificate, a website badge and a public verification page.

It is a seal you place on your website, proposals and email signature. It shows your certificate number and links to your live verification page on brydgework.com, so anyone can confirm it is genuine and current. If a certificate expires or is withdrawn, the badge changes to show it is no longer valid.

Yes. Trusted Enterprise certification is free for every GST-registered business in India. There is no fee to apply, to receive the certificate and badge, or to renew.

Any business registered for GST in India, of any size or industry: proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs and companies, from a two-person agency to a large manufacturer.

The business answers the standard's nineteen statements and signs a declaration that its answers are true. Brydgework confirms the email address, checks the GSTIN and reviews every submission. It is not an audit, and the certificate and verification page say so plainly.

ISO 9001 certifies a quality management system, and Great Place to Work certifies workplace culture through employee surveys. Trusted Enterprise looks at how a business deals with the people it does business with: whether it is properly registered, pays on time, honours contracts, protects data, treats its people fairly and acts ethically. It complements those certifications rather than replacing them.

Six statements are critical and must be answered Yes. The rest are scored, and an overall score of 60% or more is needed. If you fall short, the assessment shows what to work on. Brydgework can help you close the gaps, and you can apply again at any time.

Every certificate has a number, such as BWTE-2026-01001, and a verification page on brydgework.com. The badge links to it, the QR code on the certificate opens it, and anyone can look a number up on this page. It always shows the current status.

One year from the date of issue. You can renew by completing the assessment again.

Yes. If a declaration turns out to be untrue, or we receive a well-founded complaint, Brydgework may suspend or withdraw the certificate. The badge and verification page then show that it is no longer valid.

We use it to issue and verify the certificate and to contact you about it. The verification page shows only what is on the certificate. Your contact details and individual answers are never published.

Certification is governed by the Trusted Enterprise programme terms.
